Stampin’ Up Waterfront-Project #1

I really LOVE this set and during these next five days I have five projects that I think you’re going to love to make because they are simple and adorable!! I’ll show you the project, give you some details on how to make it, and then have the supply list that you can click on at anytime to get over to my online store 🙂

I LOVE this card because of the puzzle building aspect to it.  Let me show you a bit of what I did to create this.  IMG_1094.JPG

First I used the second to smallest ‘Stitched Shapes’ square and I cut out ten of these on a piece of soft sky.

Next I laid them on it a pattern I wanted onto a pierce mat.  I would recommend using some non permanent tape to stick them down to the pierce mat so that they don’t move as you create your masterpiece!

I used these colors to create my masterpiece: Marina Mist, Old Olive, Tranquil Tide, and Fresh Fig.  Once I stamped everything I carefully took up this from the pierce mat and put it onto my fresh fig background piece that is 4.25 by 5.5.  Once I have it in the pattern I want for sure I use adhesive to attach it down firmly.  A lot of the squares will be hanging off your background piece so don’t worry about that right now. IMG_4626.JPG

After you get it in the right places and attached down now you can snip off the excess that is hanging over the edges 🙂 IMG_4628.jpg

The last step is to make the sentiment piece.  I used one of the stitched squares but cut off the stitched parts.  I edged it in tranquil tide, stamped the sentiment in basic black, and then put burlap ribbon on the back and cut it into the ribbon shapes.   Lastly I put some pretty rhinestones on it 🙂

This card front can now be added onto a card base that is 8.5 by 5.5 inches, then folded in half.

Here is the full supply list that I used for this project 🙂 Click on supplies to get right over to my 24/7 online store.  Thanks for stopping by ❤ Subscribe to stay tuned to the next four projects this week using Waterfront stamp set!!
