Ready for another project using Beautiful Peacock?! Here is a super easy one that you can make using your FREE stamp set that you received when you spent $50 on anything from the Annual and/or NEW Occasions catalogs!
First let’s start with what supplies you will need and the dimensions of your paper 🙂
4.25 x 5.5
3.75 x 5
First step with this project is to Emboss 🙂 This is a fun technique where your card transforms before your eyes! First you are going to take the Wisteria Wonder paper and run the embossing buddy all over it, this helps with getting all loose fragments and oils off of the paper so that your embossing powder works to its full potential. Next you will use Versamark Ink which is a very sticky ink that stamps clear but wet. Next pour Silver Embossing Powder over the card in a Tupperware dish, then turn card upside down and flick to get excess powder off the cardstock. Lastly you will use your heat tool to heat powder until you see the magical transformation.
After you have your shiny silver image you then will use Fresh Fig to stamp some of the tail feathers, flowers, and sentiments. The embossing powder dried is nice because it will resist any ink put onto it. Make sure to allow enough time for embossing powder to dry.
After this then you will use sponge dauber and tranquil tide ink to go over all of your silver embossed image to add some color. You use a dauber by tapping it in ink and rubbing in a circular motion where you want the ink and repeating the process for the entire space you are trying to cover.
Next we are going to do a technique that I showed in my Stampin’ Sunday all about Beautiful Peacock. Put adhesive on the back of your cardstock on the side that will match where the peacock sits when turned over. I put about three lines of adhesive. Then do V shapes back and forth with your organza ribbon.
Then take your piece of tranquil tide and run it through the big shot using the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder. This is another thick folder so you will only need the platform and one plate.
Lastly you are going to put your card together! Put adhesive over the back of the ribbons that you laid down and along the rest of the wisteria wonder cardstock and attach to your tranquil tide.
Here is your finished project 🙂 Stay tuned for the rest of the week’s projects using Beautiful Peacock by subscribing to my blog!
