Another set that you can get for FREE when spending $50 now through the end of March is Beautiful Peacock and let me tell you…this set will rock your socks!! I LOVE it and can’t stop playing with it 🙂
Here is what I created for our day one of the blog week. I will walk you through how I made it and show you what I needed supplies wise to make it. If you are interested in seeing any of the supplies in my shop just click on the image and it will open a new tab and bring you right over to my shop.
Look at this super adorable card that I made 🙂 It doesn’t have the peacock in it but I love how our stamp sets are super versatile that we can use them for lots of different cards and in lots of different ways. Here are the supplies that I used to make it:
4.25 by 5.5
4.25 by 4.25
5 by 3.75
Okay so first step is that I inked up one side of the Pinewood Embossing Folder with Wild Wasabi ink. This is a technique to make it so that the wood grain comes out with a more defined imprint. All I do is slide the ink pad over one side fully a few times. Use a baby wipe to clean off embossing folder as soon as you are done rolling it through the big shot to keep it clean for next time. Be careful to keep your paper in same place as soon as you put it into folder and during roll through on big shot. During the roll through on the big shot you will only need your big shot platform and one plate due to this embossing folder being very thick.
Next I used the big shot again with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. These are one of my go to tools in my craft room because they add so much to a card and are super easy to use! I used the largest oval from this set.
Then I went to work stampin’ this oval using the tranquil tide and wild wasabi ink pads.
Isn’t it so cuteeee?!! Then I started to put the whole card together. First I put the tranquil tide piece of paper down, then wild wasabi, and finally my stitched oval. Lastly I took my Tranquil Tide Woven Ribbon, made a cute bow, and attached it to bottom of oval. Now your card front is ready to be added to an A4 card base that is 8.5 by 5.5, folded in half.
I hope you liked this super easy card! Stay tuned for the next four days of Beautiful Peacock projects! Make sure to subscribe so that you can stay up to date with the projects you can make with me :).
